Abstract: This Recommendation has been prepared by Sub-Committee 31G, Intrinsically-safe Apparatus. of IEC Technical Committee No. 31, Electrical Apparatus for Explosive Atmospheres, and supersedes the first edition of Publication 79-3 which had the status of a Report. It forms one of a series of publications dealing with electrical apparatus for use in explosive atmospheres. This particular part relates only to the technique of intrinsic safety.
