| Abstract: | These requirements cover fire-detection thermostats to be employed in ordinary indoor locations in accordance with the following Standards of the National Fire Protection Association: NFPA No. 71
Central Station Protective Signaling Systems,
NFPA No. 72A Local Protective Signaling Systems, NFPA No. 72B Auxiliary Protective Signaling Systems, NFPA No. 72C Remote Station Protective Signaling Systems,
NFPA No. 72D Proprietary Protective Signaling Systems, NFPA No. 74
Household Fire Warning Systems. The thermostats covered by these requirements employ either normally open contacts or normally closed contacts. The requirements do
not cover thermostats for journal-alarm nor unit-alarm devices. |
