| Abstract: | Widespread and increasing interest in the mineral resources of the United Kingdom has led the Mineral Resources Consultative Committee to undertake the collation of the factual information at present available about minerals (other than fossil fuels) which are now being worked or which might be worked in this country. The Committee has produced a series of dossiers, each of which was circulated in draft to the relevant sectors of the minerals industry. They bring together in a convenient form, in respect of each of the minerals, data which had previously been scattered and not always readily available. It has now been decided to publish these dossiers for general information. This is the first in the series. |
