| Abstract: | These Rules arrange ships into classes, the classification being uniform with that in the Merchant Shipping (Life-Saving Appliances) Rules, 1952 (S.I. 1952/1949). The Rules provide for the fire appliances to be carried in ships of each class, and include such requirements as appear to the Minister of Transport to implement the provisions of the International Convention
for the Safety of Life at Sea, 1948, relating to fire appliances. |
