| Abstract: | These Rules arrange ships into classes the c1assification being uniform with that in the Merchant Shipping (Life-Saving Appliances) Rules, 1952 (S.I.1952/1949). The Rules require the provision of pilot ladders in ships of certain classes, and include such requirements as appear to the Minister
of Transport to implement the provisions of the international Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea, 1948, relating to pilot ladders. |
