The School of Clinical Sciences and Community Health has an international research profile, with its submission in the 2001 Research Assessment Exercise to the Hospital-Based Clinical Subjects Unit of Assessment achieving a 5* rating and that to the Community-Based Clinical Subjects achieving a 4 rating.

The School comprises four divisions: Clinical and Surgical Sciences, Community Health Sciences, Medical and Radiological Sciences, and Reproductive and Developmental Sciences.
